final beach dispatch

sorry i've been away for a few days. i know this might shock you to hear this, but sometimes i don't put the blog as the #1 commitment in my life.

i am now home from the beach and mostly unpacked. i wanted to leave you with one thing from the beach that i will never forget. on my last day at the beach, i had a moment that i can only describe as magical. i finally feel like i can relate to what a national geographic photographer must feel like.. at the moment when a perfect photo of some rare animal in the wild is taken. when you know you've captured something natural in its element and you've perfectly nailed the essence of the animal.

well, i finally got my photo.

i call it "OBX crazy person". note the pink zebra striped spandex, high white socks, weird 80's hair, and shit-eating grin. this guy is a winner. and i got the perfect shot of him.

some people wait their whole lives for a shot like this.

Beach people-watching is so great, about tied in with theme parks. If you go to a theme park this summer I have a photo-taking-scavenger hunt list for you. It might be epic.
