i heard a story on NPR about how the "scrabulous" app on facebook has been disabled due to a lawsuit from hasbro. i imagined millions of lame facebook users crying in agony that they couldn't play scrabble online anymore. i had a good laugh about that. cue a hundred join "SAVE SCRABULOUS OMG OMG" group requests. did i mention i hate facebook? i do, i do.
a new co-worker discovered my blog. the thread is unraveling. soon my blog will be read at the highest levels of my agency as they wait to strike at my next work-related blog. just kidding. the person who discovered it is a totally rad person. someone i totally didn't expect to meet at work. she a) listens to ridiculously awesome bands b) watches all the same HBO shows that i'm addicted to and c) may or may not have dated a famous DC musician back in college. how cool is THAT?
work still continues to totally pulverize my brain. i've worked past 8:00pm two nights in a row now. it's all i can do just to keep up.
here are some links of interesting things that have been keeping me sane this week:
i'm still amazed by tess's weekend guide to richmond. a must-read. i'm trying to do as much as this stuff as i can in the next month.
i'm addicted to looking at these webcam stop-motion thingys. careful though, sometimes they can be NSFW. there's no one checking them before they get posted.
i posted some "camping" photos on my flickr. in the interests of full disclosure, i slept in the basement on a comfy couch.
i had to wait five minutes for a conference call to start late today because of an earthquake in los angeles. quit wasting my valuable fucking time, earthquake.
and i've been listening a lot to these music makers:
bat for lashes
fleet foxes
the warlocks
morrissey
magnolia electric co.
