so stoked for today.
why?
well.. at long last, one of my best friends, william st. john chubb III will be returning to richmond today.
i have been friends with bill for about eight years. we have been in a band together for about five of those years. we lived together as roommates for about three years.
he's an awesome dude and a solid friend. two years ago he left richmond to pursue something really cool. he moved to boston to enroll in a school where he learned to tune and restore pianos. it's something he'd always been interested in and he took the opportunity to make it happen, which is something i have a lot of respect for.
now that school is over, i guess i sorta convinced bill to move back down to richmond. he'll be taking up the third bedroom in the loft. i'm way stoked to have bill again as a roommate and a new partner-in-crime to have fun with in richmond.
it's going to be awesome.
if you're a richmond friend and you haven't met bill yet, be sure to get to know this totally rad dude. in my book, richmond's coolness points just went up significantly because of his arrival.

He's been talked about so much, yet seen never... this Bill is like a unicorn in human form!
when i think of bill, i imagine him with a badass red-ish beard... which i think might be accurate, but i was too distracted by the island-themed karaoke bar to retain vivid memories of our one encounter.
If Bill is wearing a Jim Ritter sweater when he arrives I am punching him in the face.
I literally could hear Jim Ritter speaking in the background when I read Kenny's post. Almost fell off my chair.
I love Bill. I hope I'm the first Richmonder to sleep with him.
