last night i watched the series premiere of a new show from alan ball (creator of six feet under) called "true blood".
i had been planning to watch the season premiere of entourage when i found out about the show on HBO's website. first off, if alan ball's involved.. i'm already 75% sold. dude is a total genius. anyone who reads this blog already knows that my love for six feet under knows no bounds.
anyway, the show is about vampires. but in typical alan ball style, it is in no way typical. it's set in the deep american south and the premise is that the japanese have invented synthetic blood, and vampires no longer need to kill humans to slate their thirst and have come out of hiding to join society. i wrote and re-wrote that sentence 3 times trying to find a way to not make it sound kinda weird and lame, but you're just going to have to trust me. it's an interesting show and i think it's got a lot of potential.
the first episode was pretty awesome if you can make your way to a television with HBO on it.
entourage was, of course, totally awesome.. and yet completely unfulfilling. i hate the 30 minute episode sometimes. you just can't fit enough in.
in order to keep my blog from turning into a livejournal, i'm gonna skip the weekend recap this week. needless to say, it was fun and awesome and involved lots of dancing.
okay, i will show you one thing.. i was part of a rooftop shirtless man-status photo shoot on saturday afternoon. one word: epic. more words: epic, and a little bit gay.
