sometimes a great night just falls into place. (this rarely happens)

sometimes a great night just falls into place via twitter. (this has only happened once)

this is why i'm so stoked about how my night turned out. today at work, i thought AT BEST, my night might consist of indian food and an episode or two of weeds. little did i know, i was going to end up at empire, eating tacos, drinking tallboys, and hanging out with AWESOME people that i rarely get to hang out with.

i laughed a lot and learned important things about beard length, the internet, and andrew bird.

just another exciting night in midtown.

Andrew Bird. YES.

Also. I have (clearly) switched my stance on Twitter.

YES, Andrew Bird... of COURSE! But more importantly, yes to hanging out with awesome people. This should happen far more often.

oh, and #TACOS

thanks for the good times and drinking tallboys despite the sunlight!

My Recommended Order of Andrew Bird Albums:
1&2. either Weather Systems or The Mysterious Production of Eggs (Plan9 tends to only have one or the other)
3. Armchair Apocrypha
4. Noble Beast
5. Soldier On EP
6. The Swimming Hour

Tell me what you think of the new Mark Kozelek. I looked at the track list - so good. what up with no Old Ramon, though?

how does midtown/gallery row feel about acacia midtown? surely midtown doesn't range from cary and robinson to foushee and broad!

that is a GREAT question. what the hell is acacia doing using "midtown". it's clearly acacia mid-fan.

i was JUST getting ready to ask, richmond has a midtown??

Phil said...

we had a big debate at dinner about what to call the area in between the downtown/shockoe area and the fan.. roughly where i live. hence our "midtown" discussion.

oh i see. always referred to that area as uh, vcu ;-)
