tour.

it's been a rainy sad sunday over here in phil's world.

these kinds of sundays are perfect for listening to magnolia electric co. i think if jason molina (magnolia electric co, songs:ohia) and mark kozelek (sun kil moon, red house painters) had a sad-off competition, where they both played the same show and played the saddest songs and tried to outsad each other, it would destroy the universe and a wave of sadness would swallow up everything.

not even videos of kittens could stop it.

anyway, i found this little magnolia electric co. gem. it's a video of a song off the album "fading trails". it just about perfectly captures the soul-crushing loneliness you could feel sometimes when you were on tour.

if you've never been on tour before and thought it was all fun and games, it is. but this happens too, so just be fair warned before you go starting a band and hop in the van.

All the (literal and figurative) down time for introspection is priceless, though.
