so i changed the channel to the AM station where i heard all about how the economy is continuing to tank.
it's like one thing right after another.
my life is STRESSFUL right now. i have things going on in my personal and professional life that keep me UP at night sometimes.
now when you add the following world issues to the mix:
- worldwide shortage of oil
- polar ice cap melting
- complete financial meltdown
- recession and layoffs
- bailouts bailouts bailouts
- highly coordinated terrorist attacks in mumbai
it's like WHAT THE FUCK.
how am i supposed to STOP worrying?
so then i see this gem of an article in the washington post today: nuclear or biological attack called likely
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
then of course, ironically, i saw an article about exposure to media and negative effects on your health. OF COURSE.
all i can do is keep telling myself, hey phil.. it's not so bad. george bush is almost out of office. things are gonna get better.
and you know what... i hope it's true:

It's not so much who's in office as it is who's in office of your brain. Pick your battles. The world is the world is the world but certain ignorances are bliss. Of course the shock value goes up on the occasion that you wind up finding out about something (like my shock and disgust over the Black Friday Wal-Mart guy's death) but honestly... find your escape (your passion, hobby) and keep it, grow it, hold onto it tightly because it's your personal passions that act as your vessel through this crazy journey of life.
I think with your pursuits back into music (performing / hosting & DJing dance nights) and with furthering your artistic education, you're on a track that will keep your mind on more productive things.
Smile and let yourself get some sleep. :) That's advice from a girl who knows what 40+ hours with no sleep, multiple times a month, can do to a person.
Phil went to bed at 9:30 last night.
Phil- Fear not on your bio attacks issues. I happen to know a leading expert in the field. I spoke to him at length about that article... the short version is its a lot of crap. I can discuss it at length if you're still concerned. If he's not worried, then none of us should be :)
